Iconic New Wellington Building joins our BWoF portfolio

Aug 7, 2019

Airways New Zealand have entrusted the monthly owner inspections, the annual IQP inspection and the issuance of the annual BWoF to our Wellington based building compliance team. Tracy McAra and Ravi Alwis will deliver these services on our behalf.

The building uniquely designed by Studio Pacific Architecture to appear to lean into the prevailing northerly wind was built to withstand earthquake and is one of the first in the country to withstand tsunami. As a building of high importance level under the Building Code, it has been designed and built to very high standards and is one of New Zealand’s safest buildings.

Controllers working in the tower will have 360-degree views of the airfield from 32 metres above the ground. The building was opened in August 2018.
