CoveKinloch was contracted to oversee this project in a busy central Wellington street. The project required building Consent to remove a condemned exterior steel fire case, repair building and to upgrade the fire alarm system to meet current requirements. The building was tenanted and required significant traffic disruption for completion. Building consent was required to remove old condemned exterior steel fire escape stair, repair exterior façade and upgrade fire alarm system

CoveKinloch oversaw a traffic management plan to close city street for 2 days to allow the
cranage for the removal of 6 level stair onto Wakefield street. The project involved the installation
of scaffolding to repair the exterior wall and working at heights for removal of stair and repairs to
the wall and boarding up of doors onto staircase.

CoveKinloch oversaw the arranging of access into occupied apartments and coordinating the
work and working in occupied apartments. There was significant noise and dust in apartments to
manage along with the staged completion of the works to ensure fire alarm system remains
operational.
