60 Building Consents & CCC’s for New Access Control Systems – who do you call?
Well, you call CoveKinloch to undertake such a challenge across New Zealand. We are currently in the later stages of this project, supporting Frequency Project Management and 4WoRK.
This is a rollout across New Zealand, of a modest quantum of work at each site, yet it still requires regulatory approval. Some 60 building consent applications and 60 CCC applications. Apart from the access control systems being installed for security purposes, the balance of the associated building work do not require building consent.
Our Building Consenting team, supported by our Fire Engineering team, are responsible for collating the building consent documentation such as plans, landlord approvals, Certificates of Title and any Fire Engineering Compliance Statements and reports. Once ready we establish communication with the Territorial Authority concerned, submit the building consent application and pay the application fees on behalf of our client.
RFI’s, if any, are dealt with and the Building Consent is reviewed and provided to the project team. Where sites do not have a recent fire safety engineering report or one cannot be located, we prepare one to support the consent application. We stay with the progress on site, coordinate the Council’s final (and generally only) inspection and then apply for the Code Compliance Certificate. Once received, our role is complete.
