A few kind words from our clients…

“For almost two years I have been working closely with Roger Crichton and his colleagues on two leaky home projects.

These projects have both now completed the building phase and both have had their unique challenges.

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the way Roger has managed both projects.
He has assisted me enormously at every stage and contributed a level of effort and expertise that has exceeded my expectations. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with someone of Roger’s level of honesty, integrity and technical competence.

I have also appreciated the meticulous way he has personally dealt with every minute detail throughout both projects. As a result both projects have yielded great outcomes.
I have had no hesitation in recommending both Roger and CoveKinloch to others in need of your specialist services and have also asked Roger to handle a third property for me next year.”

“Just a note to thank you for your professionalism and understanding at the recent meeting of unit owners, several of whom have expressed confidence in and relief at your contribution to what is for them a troublesome and worrying experience well beyond their normal comfort zone.
Personally, and with some long experience of difficulties arising in building projects, I came away with the feeling we were in good hands and that engaging your firm was the first ‘good’ move in what seems to have been an unfortunate set of circumstances.”

“Our Body Corporate initially employed CoveKinloch Consulting Ltd to review and report on the condition of the existing building at the corner of Franklin Road and Wilkins Street at Freemans Bay. Subsequently, we employed CoveKinloch to provide documentation to re-clad the building, obtain building consent, obtain tenders and project manage the new building works.

One of the reasons for employing CoveKinloch was that they are a multi-disciplinary practice with building consultant expertise, architectural division, project management and have litigation expertise.

The relationships between the Body Corporate and CoveKinloch has been excellent, they have proven to have very competent knowledge on building matters and had good working relationship with Auckland City Council. Their project management involvement has been very professional with fortnightly meetings, financial reporting and generally keeping us fully informed on all matters. The contract was completed on time and under budget.

We have no hesitation in recommending them to other Body Corporates not only for their building/project manager skills but for their ability to include the building owners in the design/building process.”

“I engaged CoveKinloch in 2009 to manage the re-cladding of my home, which was suffering from weather tightness issues. CoveKinloch undertook all aspects of the work from an initial investigation through design, consenting, tendering, building supervision and obtaining code compliance certificate. The firm assisted me in a successful mediation with the Auckland Council, the only party standing in relation to my claim for damages.

I would highly recommend CoveKinloch for both the investigation of leaky buildings and project management of the re-cladding and repair works.”

Linda O’Reilly, Partner

“Body Corporate 205963 engaged CoveKinloch to provide consulting and project management services over a period of 7 years to repair an apartment building comprising 67 units.
The Body Corporate is very pleased with the final result of the design and repair project. This project was complex with unit owners or tenants occupying the units throughout the repair project, access issues with neighboring properties and various building code compliance issues raised throughout the project while operation within a limited funding pool being the unit owners. In light of this complexity the Body Corporate always felt CoveKinloch advocated on it’s behalf when dealing with the constructor and council representatives.”

Brendan Ross, BC Chairman

“Sacramento was known as one of the largest leaky building complexes in New Zealand, consisting of 153 apartments next to Botany Town Centre in East Auckland. Its renaming 6 months ago as Botany Palms marked the completion of a successful ‘rebuild’ programme. CoveKinloch included a cavity in the design of the new construction along with new weatherboard cladding. New roofing replaced the existing concrete tiles which were also contributing to the leaking problem; soffits were also added in the redesign.

All this was designed and project managed by CoveKinloch with whom the Body Corporate working committee established a very close working relationship, regular meetings driven by CoveKinloch contributed greatly to the building of a strong relationship and project success with any issues that arose being addressed promptly and efficiently. Another measure of the success was the project coming in under budget, an amazing result for a project of this size and nature.
Today we can say that we chose the right partners in CoveKinloch and our 153 property owners are more than happy with what it has achieved, which is also being reflected in a substantial increase in our sales values.”
