Waikato Regional Council – Building Asset Management
- Client: Waikato Regional Council (WRC)
- Location: WRC premises in Hamilton East, Gortonton , Paeroa, Te Aroha, and Otorohanga.
- Building Type: The largest of WRC facilities is the Hamilton East building which is a three-level office premise, with a modest mix of retail tenants. This building houses the management team and the majority of WRC staff. The remaining premises support WRC operations in the wider Waikato region and range in design and age.
- Project Scope:
Our service is described by WRC as Building Act Compliance and Facilities Management. The scope requires management of all subcontractors that provide compliance schedule testing and remedial works. This extends to managing the additional facility services of security, the building management system, plumbing and electrical services.
- Project Delivery:
All subcontractors are now contracted directly by CoveKinloch New Zealand Ltd, which has resulted in the introduction of a range of new service providers while still retaining several of the incumbents.
Since securing this contract, we have provided total transparency on all subcontractor expenditure and fixed pricing for our compliance and management services.
For our client, this service model offers cost savings, reduced service provider management, building compliance peace of mind and efficiencies for their own staff.
